When the world around us seems as if it is winning, and at some point we might feel where is God, in my troubles?  When it seems like injustice is winning and God is silent, we have a choice as to how to respond.

The prophet Habakkuk had an attitude worth following:  He made the choice to rejoice.

Habakkuk saw the rapid increase in Judah’s moral and spiritual failing and this disturbed him deeply but he knew God response and that troubled him more.  God would use the wicked nation of Babylon to punish Judah.  Habakkuk didn’t fully understand this but he rejoiced because he learned to rely on God’s wisdom, justice and sovereignty.  Habakkuk ended his book with this words that we as Christians should be shouting.  I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in God of my salvation.
