Today, this hour, this minute the sun is quickly dipping behind the mountain peaks. The bright sun light which we use to work and play will give way to the long dark shadows and quickly they too will be replaced by the dark of the night were all men shall rest.

John 9:4
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

So often we look at our own lives and base time around ourselves but we forget that God’s time and His timing is not only perfect but it has been perfect forever and will last forever. We allow our own greed to guide us during these years we call life while forgetting that God has set time to His standards not our. This life inside our human body is just a small blink in God’s eyes.

We were once children running free as if we had all the time in the world. In fact, time is rather slow to a child but now as the years have passed and our bodies have aged we soon realize that time is not unstoppable nor can we hurry it up. We can’t turn the hands back on our lives like we do a clock. We can’t slow up our body clocks by painting, cutting or pasting it. Our bodies are no different from a lawn mower in that after we are conceived, the journey to the end has started and eventually this body like the old lawn mower will stop functioning.

Today as the shadows lay out over the valleys, our bodies are not my concern, but the soul and spirit is. This body will die, at some point in time. When God Himself chooses, our human body will stop to function but our soul and spirit will continue to live and where they live will be based on one thing and one thing only. Is your faith in the Lord Jesus?

It is Heaven or Hell that awaits you, no “In between or a place for almost”. You will be walking the streets of gold or you will be tormented each minute of each hour for ever and ever in the pit of Hell. And rest assured that no one in hell will give a rat’s tail if you are happy.

You can be the best person this world has ever known. You could have saved 150 people from dying a tragic death and you could have fed 5 million kids but unless you have personally asked Jesus to come into your life and to forgive you of your sins, you will become a screaming spirit in the pits of fire.

Accepting Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the only way to Heaven. You can’t buy your way in, nor can you earn your way. Our salvation is a gift. A gift from God for believing and having faith in Jesus! (John 3:16 & John 14:6)

Now with this knowledge and knowing that soon, one day of His chosen, the day will come to a close; the light that shines so bright in our lives will leave this world. Is there anyone that you know who doesn’t live in the light? Maybe a sister, a brother, maybe a good friend or co-worker, even your kid’s. We are not guaranteed one more breath before He calls us home. YOU need to act soon for now the ball has been placed in your court.
Let these words be your warning. If your friend or loved one was to die tomorrow and you failed to plant one seed, how would you feel?

I once read the following: “You and I will be the best Christian that someone ever knew”. We may never know this person but if you are the best Christian they know, how good are we in sharing the word?

In one of General George Patton’s greatest speeches he lead off with the following: “Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of BS. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle.
You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your homes and your loved ones. Second, you are here for your own self-respect, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are real men and all real men like to fight. When you, here, every one of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. Americans love a winner. Americans will not tolerate a loser. Americans despise cowards. Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.”

Now let’s turn some words around and see how well Mr. Patton could have been a Christian’s leader.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this stuff that some sources sling around about America not wanting to be a Christian Nation, not wanting to share the gospel, is a crock of chicken poo. Christian Americans love our Lord, and all real Christians love the sting and clash of the spiritual battle because it draws them closer to the Lord.
You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your homes and your loved ones from Satan; Second, you are here for your own self-respect because the Holy Spirit works in you, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are a real Christian man or woman and all real Christians like to fight.

When you, here, every one of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. Americans love a winner. Like wise, we as Christians have heard the great stories of King David, Paul on the road to Damascus, the leadership of Moses and the greatest story of all, Jesus. We as Christians should not tolerate a loser. Americans despise cowards and we should hate sin and the king of lies just as those before us came. As Americans we play to win all of the time. We should turn that will to win to the great battle of all, the battle for souls. No, we can’t win souls for the Lord, but we can win by planting seeds and staying in prayer for the lost. The very idea of losing is hateful to a real Christians; we need to take our drive to win the battlefield for souls”

Over 70 years ago General Patton led his troops into battle and won. As a real soldier for Christ Jesus are you ready and willing to step up and step out for the true light, for the soul and spirits of your brothers and sisters?

Jesus has the perfect job for you. One that He knows you can do very well and all you have to do is ask.

Remember time is ticking and it will stop for no man.
